Alan Pickerill

Expedia, Inc. [BELLEVUE, Wash.] (NASDAQ: EXPE) announced that Alan Pickerill, currently Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Head of Investor Relations, to succeed Mark Okerstrom as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. As announced previously, Okerstrom has been appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. Pickerill began his career as an accountant at Deloitte and Touche where he practiced for seven years before moving onto progressively senior finance leadership roles at a variety of publicly traded technology and internet companies including roles at Microsoft and Getty Images. Pickerill joined Expedia in 2008, took over leadership of Investor Relations function in 2010, and added Global Treasury to his remit in 2015. He currently sits on Expedia, Inc.’s, Disclosure Practices and Foreign Exchange Review Committees.

Abiomed, Inc. [DANVERS, Mass.] (NASDAQ: ABMD) announced that it has accepted the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer, Michael Tomsicek. The Company’s former Chief Financial Officer, Robert Bowen, will return from retirement to support the organization as a consultant until a new CFO has been recruited and hired. Mr. Bowen served as the Company’s CFO from December 2008 to July 2015, and advised the Company in a consulting role for one year following his retirement.

Sujan Jain

App Annie [SAN FRANCISCO] announced the appointment of Sujan Jain to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Sujan most recently served as CFO at Couchbase. Prior to Couchbase, Sujan was CFO at Model N. Before joining Model N, Sujan served as the VP of Finance and GM of Software Vertical for NetSuite.

Humanigen, Inc. [BRISBANE, Calif.] (OTCQB: HGEN) announced it has appointed Greg Jester as its chief financial officer (CFO). Most recently, Mr. Jester served as vice president, finance, for Tris Pharma. Mr. Jester has also held CFO roles at multiple pharmaceutical companies, including Alvogen and Innovive Pharmaceuticals, and senior finance roles at Barr Pharmaceuticals.

eCurrency Mint Limited [OAKLAND, Calif.] announced Stefan Carlsson as Chief Financial Officer. Carlsson joined eCurrency in January 2016 as Director Markets with focus on Southeast Asia. His most recent assignment was director and chief financial officer of Indosat. Prior to that role, Carlsson held numerous CFO and chief executive officer positions in operators across Asia as well as Europe.

Stewart [HOUSTON] (NYSE: STC) announced the appointment of David Hisey as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Secretary and Treasurer. He takes over for Allen Berryman, who announced his retirement plans earlier this year. David most recently was Senior Advisor to the CEO and acting CFO for Prospect Mortgage, LLC. Prior to this position, his roles included Executive Vice President (EVP) and CFO, as well as Chief Strategy & External Affairs Officer and Chief of Staff for Nationstar Mortgage Holdings, Inc. In addition, Hisey served as EVP and CFO for Fannie Mae and spent 22 years in audit and consulting roles with KPMG LLP/Bearing Point, Inc.

Real Mex Restaurants [CYPRESS, Calif.] announced the appointment of Judd Tirnauer as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Tirnauer joins Real Mex from Wet Seal, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his time at Wet Seal, Tirnauer spent 15 years at Destination Maternity, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer.

MedAmerica Properties Inc. [BOCA RATON, Fla.] (OTC: MAMP) announced that Patricia Sheridan was appointed its chief financial officer. Since 2011, Ms. Sheridan has served as the managing member of PKS Group LLC. Over the last 12 years, she has worked in various capacities for private real estate development firms from October 2005 to January 2017. Beginning in June 1998 until March 2003, Ms. Sheridan served as the president and managing director of Knickerbocker LLC. Prior to this position, she served in multiple roles with Beneficial Corporation, from January 1986 through June 1998, most recently as the Director – Corporate Real Estate Properties. She began her accounting career at Arthur Andersen & Company beginning in January 1984 until January 1986.

David Demmon

Pan-American Life Insurance Group [NEW ORLEANS] announced the promotion of David Demmon to Senior Vice President, CFO and Controller. Mr. Demmon has been Pan-American Life’s Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer since joining the company in 2012.

Banc of California, Inc. [SANTA ANA, Calif.] (NYSE:  BANC) announced it has hired John A. Bogler as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Company and its subsidiary, Banc of California, N.A.  Mr. Bogler most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Sabal Financial Group, L.P. since 2014.  Mr. Bogler’s appointment comes after the conclusion of a nationwide executive search, led by Korn Ferry. Previously Mr. Bogler served as Chief Financial Officer for CapitalSource, Inc. and its subsidiary CapitalSource Bank until its 2014 sale to PacWest Bancorp.  Mr. Bogler also served as Chief Financial Officer for Affinity Financial Corporation and Jackson Federal Bank.

Conatus Pharmaceuticals Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: CNAT) announced the appointment of Keith W. Marshall, as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Dr. Marshall has been Chief Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Development since 2015 at Torque Therapeutics. He served as Managing Director and Advisor in Healthcare Investment Banking from 2012 to 2014 at GCA Savvian Advisors, and continued from 2014 to 2015 at TAG Healthcare Advisors under an alliance with GCA Savvian. Dr. Marshall was Managing Director from 2011 to 2012 at Sagent Advisors; Managing Director, Co-founder, and Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2011 at Montgomery, Marshall Healthcare Partners; Managing Director of Healthcare Investment Banking from 2003 to 2008 at Montgomery & Co.; and Associate in Healthcare Investment Banking from 2001 to 2003 at JPMorgan H&Q with additional responsibilities at JPMorgan Partners. Dr. Marshall previously worked as a Research Associate from 1990 to 1993 at ImmuLogic Pharmaceutical Corporation.

Craig Anderson

Compass [NEW YORK] announced that Craig Anderson will join its leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. Anderson was most recently the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Flywheel Sports. Prior to Flywheel, Anderson was President and Chief Operating Officer at an online advertising exchange. He previously served as a Vice President at The Blackstone Group. Craig is a lawyer who began his career at O’Melveny & Myers.

Avista Pharma Solutions, Inc. [DURHAM, N.C.] announced that Eric Evans has been named its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Avista Pharma, Mr. Evans was CFO of Mayne Pharma US. He previously served as CFO of two other CDMOs: AAIPharma Services and Patheon Inc. He also held positions in the pharmaceutical industry as VP and Controller for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation and VP and Controller of Sandoz Inc.

Barbara Kandemir

It’s Never 2 Late® [DENVER] named Barbara Kandemir the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Kandemir has held senior financial executive positions across several industries, including Aperture Credentialing, KnowledgeAdvisors, Intersect Solutions LLC, and Capgemini.

XCPCNL Business Services Corporation [DALLAS, TX] (OTC PINK: XCPL) has named Roger Gaskins as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Gaskins began his career with Coopers & Lybrand, C.P.A’s in Miami, Florida. He was Director of Accounting, Chief Executive Officer of International Environmental Services in Dallas, and most recently, Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of Lexington Global Solutions of Dallas, Texas.

VirTra, Inc. [TEMPE, Ariz.] (OTCQX: VTSI) announced that it has appointed Judy Henry as Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Henry has been serving as the Company’s Controller since October 2016 and will be taking over the CFO role from Donna S. Moore, who has been VirTra’s Interim CFO since June 2016. From 2009 to 2015, Ms. Henry was CFO and Deputy Executive Director for Housing Kitsap. Previously, she worked as Director of Finance for Secure Asset Reporting, Inc. Ms. Henry has also provided CFO/Controller consultancy services for the CPA firm Moss Adams.

The Williams Companies, Inc. [TULSA, Okla.] (NYSE: WMB) announced that John D. Chandler has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer. Mr. Chandler will replace Don Chappel, who announced his planned retirement from Williams earlier this year. Until 2014, Mr. Chandler served as chief financial officer of Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. beginning that role in 2002 in advance of Magellan’s spinoff from Williams in 2003. Prior to his role at Magellan, Mr. Chandler served in various financial roles at MAPCO, Inc. and at Williams.

Ashley Johnson

HCA Healthcare [NASHVILLE, Tenn.] (NYSE: HCA) announced that Ashley Johnson has been appointed chief financial officer of HCA’s American Group. She will replace longtime American Group CFO Rick Shallcross who is retiring. Johnson, a 21-year veteran of HCA, has served as chief financial officer for HCA’s Capital Division. Prior to that position she served as CFO for several HCA hospitals including Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado; Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida; and Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, Florida.
