Mike Santomassimo
Wells Fargo & Company [SAN FRANCISCO] (NYSE: WFC) announced that Mike Santomassimo will join the company in fall 2020 as Chief Financial Officer. Santomassimo will succeed John Shrewsberry, who has announced plans to retire following a successful 22-year career with Wells Fargo, including the last six years as the company’s CFO. Santomassimo joins Wells Fargo from BNY Mellon, where he was CFO since 2018. Previously, he served as CFO for the company’s Investment Services businesses. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, he spent 11 years at JPMorgan Chase in a number of key finance leadership roles, including CFO for Banking, which included Investment Banking (advisory and equity & debt capital markets) and Treasury Services. He also served as CFO of JPMorgan’s Securities Services & U.S. Private Banking businesses. He began his career at Smith Barney, where he held a variety of roles including as co-head of the Strategy and Finance team for the brokerage division.
The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation [NEW YORK] (NYSE: BK) announced that Emily Portney has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Mike Santomassimo, who has informed the company of his decision to leave. Portney most recently led the client management, sales and service teams for BNY Mellon’s Asset Servicing business globally. She also oversaw the Americas region of the Asset Servicing business. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Portney served as Chief Financial Officer for Barclays International. She spent 22 years at JPMorgan, where she was the Global Head of Clearing and Collateral Management, among other roles. She started with JPMorgan in 1993, and performed various roles over the course of her career, including the CFO of Equities and Prime Services. Portney serves on the Board of Directors for MarketAxess, and for The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC).
DroneDeploy [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that M.G. Thibaut, previously the CFO of Copper, joined DroneDeploy as Chief Financial Officer. In addition to Copper, she held leadership roles at Strava, Discovery Digital Networks, and Yahoo!.

Suzanne Colvin
Egnyte [Mountain View, CA] announced it has appointed Suzanne M. Colvin as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Egnyte, Colvin spent six years at Napster, Inc. where she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer after holding various finance leadership roles. Colvin also spent nine years at Verifone, most recently as VP Corporate Controller & Chief Accountant. Additionally, Jeff Kalowski joined as Chair of Egnyte’s Audit Committee. Jeff is currently CFO of Rapid 7, and previously served as CFO at Imprivata. Earlier in his career, Jeff was the CFO at ProfitLogic, Inc., and a variety of enterprise software and hardware technology companies, including Torrent Systems, Beyond Incorporated, and Magna Computer Corporation.
Cornerstone OnDemand [SANTA MONICA, CA] (NASDAQ: CSOD) announced that Brian Swartz, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), will leave the company effective Aug. 14 to pursue another opportunity. Trish Coughlin, Cornerstone’s Chief Accounting Officer since January 2019, will serve as interim CFO. Coughlin brings more than 25 years of experience to her new role with previous finance positions at Workday, Goldman Sachs and Co., Honeywell and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

James Maloney
Medifast, Inc. [BALTIMORE] (NYSE: MED) announced that it has appointed James (Jim) Maloney as Chief Financial Officer. Maloney most recently served as Senior Vice President Chief Financial Officer of L.B. Foster Company. Prior to L.B. Foster Company, he served as Chief Financial Officer of First Insight, Inc., where he continues to serve as a Board Advisor. Before joining First Insight, Maloney held roles at the H.J. Heinz Company, including Vice President of Global Financial Planning and Supply Chain Finance, Director of Finance for Supply Chain for Heinz North America, and Controller of Heinz North America. He also held multiple roles in the U.S. and Europe at Ernst & Young LLP, including Senior Manager of the Assurance Practice.
ImmunoGen, Inc. [WALTHAM, MA] (NASDAQ: IMGN) announced that Susan Altschuller, PhD has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She joins ImmunoGen from Alexion Pharmaceuticals where she started as Head of Investor Relations before moving to Head of Enterprise Finance. Prior to joining Alexion, Dr. Altschuller was Head of Investor Relations at Bioverativ. Early in her career, Dr. Altschuller held positions at Biogen in various functions of increasing responsibility, including investor relations, corporate finance, and commercial finance.
Windtree Therapeutics, Inc. [WARRINGTON, PA] (NASDAQ-CM: WINT) announced John Hamill has been appointed Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Hamill most recently provided consulting services to various life science companies, headed up finance at Trevena, Inc.; NephroGenex, Inc.; Savient Pharmaceuticals; and PharmaNet, which then became known as PharmaNet Development Group, where he directed financial and administrative operations for the company. Hamill is replacing Windtree’s former CFO, John Tattory who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Kalera [ORLANDO, FL] announced the appointment of Fernando Cornejo as Chief Financial Officer. Cornejo held similar roles at Argo Group, where he was Segment CFO and subsequently CFO for EXIN Group. Prior to his role as CFO, Cornejo was an investment banker for companies such as Citibank, Credit Suisse, and Bear Stearns.
Spectra7 Microsystems Inc. [SAN JOSE, CA] (TSX-V: SEV) announced that Darren Ma has tendered his resignation as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Dave Mier who previously served as CFO at Spectra7 for nearly 2 years from 2015 to 2017 has agreed to serve as interim CFO. Mier has over 25 years of experience as a finance professional with both public and private companies, including his position with Yahoo! as Vice President Finance, Americas Controller.
Logz.io [BOSTON & TEL-AVIV, Israel] announced the addition of Brian Cohen as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Cohen joins Logz.io from BitSight Technologies where he served as CFO. Prior to this, Cohen was the CFO for DigitalOcean.
IQVIA Holdings Inc. [DANBURY, CT & RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] announced the appointment of Ron Bruehlman as Executive Vice President and interim Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Mike McDonnell who is leaving the company to become Chief Financial Officer of Biogen Inc. Bruehlman was previously the Chief Financial Officer of IMS Health from 2011 until the merger of IMS Health and Quintiles in 2016. Since the merger, Ron has continued to play an active role on the executive leadership team at IQVIA, serving as a senior advisor to Ari Bousbib, Chairman and CEO of IQVIA. In addition, Bruehlman currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Q2 Solutions, an IQVIA and Quest Diagnostics joint venture and a leading clinical trial laboratory services organization. Prior to joining IMS Health, Bruehlman had a 23-year career at United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where he held multiple senior finance leadership roles of increasing responsibility. These included leading the finance function at UTC Commercial, Chief Financial Officer of Carrier Corporation, heading the corporate financial planning and analysis function for UTC and leading UTC’s investor relations function.
Biogen Inc. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: BIIB) announced the appointment of Michael (Mike) McDonnell as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 15, 2020. McDonnell joins Biogen from IQVIA where he is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. McDonnell succeeds Jeffrey Capello, who has served as Biogen’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since December 2017. Prior to IQVIA, McDonnell served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Intelsat, from November 2008 to December 2015, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MCG Capital Corporation, from September 2004 until October 2008 and as MCG Capital Corporation’s Chief Operating Officer from August 2006 until October 2008. Before joining MCG Capital Corporation, McDonnell served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for EchoStar Communications Corporation (f/k/a DISH Network Corporation), from July 2004 until August 2004 and as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from August 2000 to July 2004. McDonnell spent 14 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, including 4 years as a partner.
Virgin Hyperloop [LOS ANGELES] announced the appointment of Raja Narayanan as Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Virgin Hyperloop, Narayanan was most recently an SVP at Hyundai-Aptiv Autonomous Driving Joint Venture. Prior to that, Narayanan was involved with OneWeb.

Sabine Schmidt
Johns Manville (JM) [DENVER] announced Sabine Schmidt is the company’s new Chief Financial Officer, effective on September 1. Greg Clarke, JM’s current CFO, will become President of the Insulation Systems business. Schmidt joined JM in 2006 as the Corporate FP&A Manager. She was later promoted to Finance Director, Engineered Products North America. Schmidt assumed her current job of Director of Finance for JM’s Insulation Systems business in 2012. Before joining Johns Manville, Schmidt held several jobs at Fortune 100 automotive supplier Dana Corporation.
Luminar [PALO ALTO, CA] announced the appointment of the company’s new Chief Financial Officer, Tom Fennimore. From 2014 to May 2020, Fennimore was the Global Head of Automotive and the Co-Head of the Industrials Group at Jefferies Group, LLC, and for 17 years prior, at Goldman Sachs in a variety of roles, including Global Head of Automotive and Co-Head of Goldman’s Industrials Group based in Beijing, China.
Generation Bio Co. [CAMBRIDGE, MA] (NASDAQ: GBIO) announced that Matthew Norkunas has been appointed chief financial officer. Norkunas most recently served as CFO at SomaLogic, Inc. Prior to that, Norkunas was senior equity analyst at Marsico Capital Management. Norkunas began his career as a practicing anesthesiologist.
Plastiq [SAN FRANCISCO] announced that Wailun Chan has joined the company as chief financial officer (CFO). Chan joins Plastiq from LinkedIn, where he was vice president of finance. Prior to LinkedIn, Chan served as studio finance controller at Electronic Arts (EA), sales finance leader at Nestle, director of sales & marketing finance at General Electric (GE) Capital and FP&A manager at Kraft Specialty Cheese.

David B. Brown
Authentix [ADDISON, TX] welcomes David B. Brown in the role of Chief Financial Officer. Brown got his start in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers then went on to serve in executive roles with LSG Sky Chefs, Brink’s Company, Dresser, Tellabs and Trillium Flow Technologies most recently. He is also an independent director and audit committee chair for Perma-Pipe International Holdings, Inc.
Tailored Brands, Inc. [FREMONT, CA] (NYSE: TLRD) announced Jack Calandra, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, will leave Tailored Brands as of July 31. In the near term, Calandra’s responsibilities will be divided between President and CEO Dinesh Lathi and Holly Etlin, a Managing Director at AlixPartners who has been appointed to the newly created role of Chief Restructuring Officer.
Xylem Inc. [RYE BROOK, NY] (NYSE: XYL) announced it has appointed Sandra Rowland as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 1, 2020. Rowland will succeed Mark Rajkowski, who will retire from the Company at the end of the year. Rowland is also a member of the Board of Directors and Audit and Human Resources Committees of Corporation. Rowland joined Harman in 2012 as Vice President, Investor Relations. In 2013, she took on leadership of Corporate Development, which included Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions. In 2014, she was appointed CFO of Harman, which is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung. Prior to Harman, Rowland held a number of positions at Eastman Kodak Company, including Chief Financial Officer of the Commercial Segment. Earlier in her career, Rowland advised technology companies in the Audit and Business Advisory practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Alec King
Guardion Health Sciences, Inc. [SAN DIEGO] (NASDAQ: GHSI) announced that it has appointed Andrew C. Schmidt as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Schmidt has significant expertise and experience with micro- and small-cap public companies, most recently with Iteris, Inc., and Smith Micro Software, Inc.
Memorial Hermann Health System [HOUSTON] announced Alec King as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective Oct. 1, 2020. King joins Memorial Hermann from Children’s National Health System in Washington, where he was CFO. Prior, King held multiple financial leadership roles within Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston over a span of nine years. King succeeds Brian Dean, who served as Memorial Hermann’s CFO since 2018 and recently relocated to California. Cindy DeMoya, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, will serve as interim CFO until King assumes his new role in October.
Aditx Therapeutics, Inc. [LOMA LINDA, CA] (NASDAQ: ADTX) announced that it has appointed Corinne Pankovcin as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Aditxt, Pankovcin was the Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Business Development Corporation of America, from December 2015 to July 2019. From January 2011 to August 2015, Pankovcin was the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation, and a Managing Director of Finance at BlackRock Investment Management LLC. Prior to joining BlackRock, Pankovcin was a senior member of Finance & Accounting of Alternative Investments and served as Chief Financial Officer for the Global Emerging Markets products group at AIG Capital Partners. Pankovcin began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Holborn Corporation [NEW YORK] announced that Timothy R. Amman has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Amman joins Holborn from Goldman Sachs, where he was a Managing Director and held a number of roles within the firm’s Controllers team since 2008. Most recently, Amman was the North America Legal Entity Controller and Controller of Goldman Sachs Bank USA. Previously, Mr. Amman worked at JPMorgan Chase in several financial and operational roles within Investment Bank Finance and Risk. Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, he was a manager in the broker-dealer audit practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
AgBiome [RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC] announced Gerald Coward has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining AgBiome, Coward was CFO at the Fresh Food Group. Coward has also served as the Business Unit CFO at Driscoll’s of the Americas, led the build of corporate planning and analysis capability at Blue Diamond Growers, and held several finance leadership, strategy, and M&A integration roles at General Mills in the US and internationally.
